I'm finishing a Bachelor of Information Technology at King's Own Institute in Sydney, and I'm a student member of the Australian Computer Society. The part of IT I'm most drawn to is support — sitting with someone's problem until it's genuinely fixed, not just worked around.
Over the past couple of years I've worked across healthcare, hospitality and community roles around Sydney, including volunteering directly in tech: refurbishing laptops for people who need one, and keeping a nonprofit's website running. That work has taught me how to stay calm under pressure, communicate clearly, and follow through — and it's what I want to bring into an entry-level IT or help-desk role while I keep building on the technical side.
